gm gm,

The world’s a circus and the tech tent is getting wild. Geopolitical tension’s heating up in the Middle East (again), there’s talk the Trump camp is cooking up a good ol’ ai.gov site dropping July 4 (because, of course), and rumor has it Walmart and Amazon are prepping their own stablecoins.

Meanwhile, Nvidia’s giving up on China cash thanks to fresh U.S. restrictions and somewhere in the madness, even Pope Leo XIV is championing “humane AI.” Blessed be the chips.

As always, we’re using this space to provide you with the latest product updates and relevant industry news in the shortest form possible.

Let’s go! @getenzyme

IN THE SPOTLIGHT
AI, Blockchain, and the battle for control

Google is charging ahead with its Gemini 2.5 model family, pushing hard into enterprise AI with a well-balanced mix of power, scale, and cost control. The lineup includes Gemini 2.5 Pro for deep reasoning and multimodal tasks, Flash for high-throughput demands, and the new Flash-Lite, a lightweight model tailored for fast, low-cost processing. All models are built to play nicely with tools, support up to a million tokens of context, and let developers adjust “thinking time” depending on complexity and budget, making it clear that Google’s aiming to own the infrastructure layer of AI-powered work.

Meanwhile, OpenAI is taking a parallel but more politically loaded route, securing a $200 million contract with the U.S. Department of Defense to prototype AI systems for military and healthcare use. This deal launches its “OpenAI for Government” offering, complete with locked-down models like ChatGPT Gov that ban surveillance, biometrics, or weaponization. But not everything is smooth inside the house: Microsoft is clashing with OpenAI over IP rights linked to a newly acquired coding startup, Windsurf. And on the outside, Meta is circling with eye-watering $100 million signing bonuses to poach top talent. Sam Altman insists no one’s left and that OpenAI’s edge in AGI is still unmatched.

As the AI giants battle for dominance, JPMorgan is quietly making its own future-proof move: bridging traditional finance with the blockchain world. The bank has launched a new token called JPMD, a “deposit” receipt that acts like a stablecoin but is backed by commercial bank assets. It’s being piloted on Base, Coinbase’s Layer-2 network, chosen for its speed and low fees. The pilot will unfold over the next few months and likely feature JPMorgan’s heavyweight institutional clients. Together, these moves show how tech and finance are converging fast, with AI leading the charge and blockchain laying the rails beneath it.
